How Many Did You Know?
- Taj Mahal (India)
- Great Wall of China (China)
- Ruins of Petra (Jordan)
- Statue of Christ the Redeemer (Rio De Janeiro)
- Incan Ruins of Machu Picchu (Peru)
- Ancient Mayan City of Chichen Itaza (Mexico)
- Colosseum (Rome)
And the Great Pyramids of Giza, the only one of the old 7 wonders that is still standing, is automatically included as the 8th wonder.
Honestly, how many of us actually know all of the original 7 wonders of the world?
The Pyramids, I knew. The Hanging Towers of Babylon, I knew.
But I thought Taj Mahal and the Great Wall were amongst them.
Then I thought sites like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in France were too! And the Niagara Falls too.
All wrong! :0
So here's the old list...
- The Hanging Towers of Babylon (Iraq)
- The Colossus of Rhodes (Greece)
- The Statue of Zeus (Greece)
- The Lighthouse of Alexandria (Egypt)
- The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus (Turkey)
- The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus (Turkey)
- The Great Pyramids of Giza (Egypt)
Now, how many did you get right? ;p

So Much For Running.
Kitty Ring Ring
I returned from yet another farewell luncheon today, and this was what greeted me when I reached my office desk.
See how nicely it blends into the purple walls of my room? So pretty!
"Are you gonna use it in your new office?" was Digital Curls' question.Hmmm. Much as I love the phone, I really don't think so, you know...
The above came with the telephone. A brolly. "Came with the phone." they said. And then I think they left it together with the phone for me because, regardless of the weather, I will NOT bring an umbrella out with me. So, the sweeties left the little polka dotted brolly for me.
Ok, ok, I promise to carry it with me in from now, so that I won't have to pop into random shops to loan brollies from them.

Farewells.
Tonight, a few of my closer colleagues organized a "Good Luck" drinks session at Liquid Kitchen. It was fun. Loads of rubbish talk amidst work grouses.
And drinks, of course.
And food. Fried, no less.
Told you I’m not gonna fit into that dress.
Hey, to Digital Curls, Ms Troublesome, Cooking Girl and K-Man, we should do this more often, even after I've left.
Cos it's not farewell. Just Good Luck. :)
And oh, thanks K-Man for picking up the tab. :)

Maybe It's Just Me
Song : Unintended
Artiste : Muse
You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You could be the one I'll always love
You could be the one who listens
To my deepest inquisitions
You could be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before
First there was the one who challenged
All my dreams and all my balance
She could never be as good as you
You could be my unintended
Choice to live my life extended
You should be the one I'll always love
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before
I'll be there as soon as I can
But I'm busy mending broken pieces of the life I had before
Before you
Beautiful isn't it? The way the lyrics change from "You could be the one I'll always love" to "You should be the one I'll always love". And how it mentions of a life he had before. Then adds in the "you" only at the end.
Then again, I've always been a sucker for songs with such lyrics.
Like Selena's "Dreaming of You". How it changes from "Cos I'm dreaming of you tonight" to "Now I'm dreaming with you tonight".
I wonder if anyone else goes into such depth to notice these minute changes in the lyrics.
Maybe it's just me. :)

Truffled Cheesecake
The reason why I ditched my jogging plans with Shades of Pink. ;p
After our last baking session, Cooking Girl and I convinced Ms Troublesome and Digital Curls to join us for baking classes. So this evening, the four of us went to learn baking the Cheesecake with Chocolate Truffle. It smells and looks yummy, but I can't taste it till tomorrow. Gotta let the cheese set.
Pretty, ain't it? Complete with the swirl patterns and all. I've always wondered how they get the marbled patterns and the fillings into the cake. Turns out it really ain't that difficult. :)
Traditional soft buns were the other item we baked.
Now, doesn't that look like something you get from the bakery? ;)
I doubt I'd attempt the buns at home though. Not difficult, but it's tedious work. Have to wait a few hours for the yeast to do dunno what to the dough la, then gotta rest the dough to let it dunno what la.....I hate to wait.
Tonight was fun. See you three next week for the Tiramisu ya!
