As s guy, which would you choose? The Sweet Young Thing (SYT) or The Older Woman (TOW)?
My guess was that most guys would go for the SYT. But I was quite wrong.
Anyway, in the midst of discussing this topic with Char Siew Pow she had really hilarious analogies...
Purples: So if you were a guy, which would you choose? The SYT or TOW?
Char Siew Pow: So its SYT vs classy and sphisticated right? It's like choosing between a Suzuki Swift and a Beemer.
Purples: I guess. Ok you are like late 20s and the SWT is like 16.
Char Siew Pow: That's quite sick.
Purples: But SYT more fun what?
Char Siew Pow: But it's like choosing between a fizzy drink and wine!

Most men would go for SYT, claiming that they are younger, fresher, prettier, blah blah blah.
But I think the real reason is that it is easier to handle a SYT as they are more impressionable.

Yes, we were once SYT too. But I doubt we were the typical act-cute-tae SYT type. Guys like liddat one you know.
But you've got a point la. They SYTs are easier to handle. Easier to bluff. :p
Agreed. SYTs also have lesser expectations.
This is an interesting blog! i had a good time reading the entries. Soo Xingapor! So colourful and yummy. There is purple, pink and char siew pow, where is siew mai and lor mai gai. SYT VS TOW. The ladies wardrope had undergo a massive revamp in the past decade. The neckline has been plunging eversince the asian finicial crisis. Voila!! We have the SYT. My mum always tell my sis who is 21. "Girl Ah! Ai Si ah!( wanna die huh!) Your longkang so deep you going to school or geylang! SYT = ATTENTION SEEKERS = BIMBO . In short i rather go for the beemers than the swift, afterall the beemers comes with 5 star rating. If a SYT comes of age and don't develope it becomes a lau char bo. That goes the same for a man. Man of age likes a SYT = Dirty old man.
